Hey there, how are you doing? I am finally getting in some kind of Christmas spirit. We wont be able to go home for Christmas this year. It is the 1st year we won't be with family. However, my daughter and family will be down the day after Christmas. Yipppee!! Here is a photo from a few years ago, of Bella and Allie at my brother's Christmas party. I think my brother makes a wonderful santa. Of course this year we have another little one.Maddie is almost 2 years old.
Another reason this year is not as Christmasy is the weather. I am not used to running around in the middle of December with a light jacket. Or with no jacket.
This weekend i went to the Evergreen cemetary and took the tour. the historical society and the high school drama class read short biographies of several of the people buried there. they dressed up in period costumes. Awesome, i learned a lot about the Perry area. Glad i went, even if i did have to go by myself.
It is off to bed for this chick. goodnight everyone.
blessings,karen

Hello. It has been a while since i have been on my blog. Guess my life isn't very excititng. We went up north to see family for the thanksgiving holiday. we weren't able to get to my daughter's house on the actual holiday. but we were there friday evening. and boy oh boy did we have a wondeful dinner. Turkey, dressing ,mashed potatoes. And a cranberry dish that Heather made that was yummy. Maddie liked it so much, she ate all mine.
I had been taking art lessons in Ohio for a few years. I love graphite and pastels. My wonderful art teacher, Connie, is a whiz at watercolors. I am sure it was hard for her to teach these other mediums, but she did, and she did a fantastic job. Here is a picture of a barn that i drew for a friend.
i had the guidance of Connie. Now that we are in Georgia, well the drawing has slowed down. I know that i can do this. the last few pictures i did myself at home. I am having a mind block on this barn picture. maybe soon i will get back to it. for now i want to finish up the rag quilt i am making for me. I finally get a quilt for myself! I will show pictures of it when it is done. Everybody have a good week.
Blessings,Karen
